Pastor Hal Haltom
At Faith Chapel, we believe in the power of community and the transformative impact of individual connections. My wife, DeeDee, and I are passionate about pastoring and walking alongside people in their personal journeys, offering encouragement and support. Every person holds immense value, and it is our privilege to invest in the lives of those around us. Faith Chapel is meant to be a refuge—a place where the people of God can come together to experience the fullness of His blessings and love.
We warmly welcome you to join us today. Let's embrace the joy of living for His glory, united in faith and purpose.
I have been a dedicated member of Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church of God for eighteen years. During this time, I have had the privilege of serving in various capacities, including as the Sunday School Superintendent and as a member of the Deacon Board from November 6, 2006, to May 2019. Currently, I serve as the Associate Pastor, assisting the Senior Pastor to the best of my abilities and fulfilling what I believe to be God's calling for me. I am proud to be part of the Faith Chapel Pastoral Staff and to contribute to our church community.
On a personal note, I have been blessed with a wonderful marriage to my wife, Lesa, for 36 years.
With a strong dedication to her faith, Lesa has been the Ladies Ministry Leader at Faith Chapel for five years and is also a licensed minister with the Pentecostal Church of God (PCG). Additionally, she holds the role of Section 10 Ladies Ministry Leader for the Arkansas District PCG. Lesa's commitment to her community is evident in her long-standing service, having taught Sunday School at Faith Chapel from April 2007 until 2018. Before her current pastoral duties, Lesa enjoyed a fulfilling career as a hairstylist, working for 11 years in Louisiana and another 25 years in Texarkana, Texas. Her varied experiences and unwavering commitment to her ministry make her a valued leader and mentor in her community.
John and Cheyenne Solley have shared a remarkable journey together, having been united in marriage since June 2018 and together since their high school years in 2011. They are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby girl in December 2024. Their commitment to their faith and community is evident in their roles as Youth Leaders since 2017. Through their ministry, The Fire Chasers, they strive to nurture the spiritual growth of teens by helping them develop talents for Kingdom service, fostering heartfelt worship, building meaningful relationships, and immersing them in the Word of God. Their approach is hands-on, using practical demonstrations to relate biblical teachings to real-world situations, preparing youth for adulthood. Beyond church walls, John and Cheyenne engage teens in various activities such as camping, fishing, and attending sports events, while also emphasizing community service through initiatives like feeding the homeless and assisting church widows. John is currently advancing his spiritual education through the Accelerated Institute of Ministry program to obtain a full ministering license. Both John and Cheyenne are dedicated nurses at Christus St. Michael, share a love for the outdoors, and John also serves as a coach for the Texarkana Arkansas Trap Team.
Their lives are a testament to their dedication to faith, community, and each other.
